A small studio,senior engineering.

Synthik is a software engineering studio in Durban. We design and build websites, web applications and iOS & Android apps for private clients, growing businesses and enterprise teams who want software made with care and engineered to last.

(01) How we work

Small on purpose. Every project gets senior attention from the first call to launch day, and long after.

We keep the team small so the people you meet are the people doing the work. Design, engineering, hosting and support sit together, so nothing gets lost between handovers.

We build our own product, HiveBill, on the same foundations we use for clients. Every lesson from running real software in production goes straight back into your project.

(02) What we believe

Good software isquietly excellent.

Understand the business first

Half of building useful software is working out what people actually need versus what they asked for. We talk to the people who will use it.

II.

Own what we ship

When a production issue lands, we respond. If it is critical we fix it straight away; if not, we brief you, give you a workaround and ship the proper fix.

III.

Modern tools, human judgement

We use the best tools available, AI included, to move faster. Every change is still designed, reviewed and tested by people before it ships.

IV.

Build for South Africa

Rand pricing, VAT, PayFast, POPIA, offline modes for patchy signal, and phones that are not always the latest model.

Now taking on new projects

Have somethingin mind? Let’s build it.
